The faces of the swordsmen at the scene turned ashen.
They might have genuine fights daily, but no one had ever encountered such a situation.
None of them had the guts to challenge the army. They hurriedly dropped their weapons and surrendered as they trembled in fear.
There were even some timid ones who wet their pants.
Seeing that Colin Dunne had taken control of the scene, Nathan walked up to Penny and helped loosen the ropes around her.
Without missing a beat, Penny launched herself into Nathan's arms instantly, hugged him tightly, and mumbled, "Honey!”
Nathan gently caressed Penny's hair and comforted her softly, "Everything is alright now. It would be best if you go outside to quiet your mind and calm your nerves. I'll handle the matters here."
At this moment, four of the Elite Eight came over and took Penny Smith and Thomas Dunn away from the scene.
Penny hesitated for a while before she left. She looked at Nathan worriedly, but no words came out of her mouth.
Nathan knew what she was worrying about and smiled. "Don't worry. The soldiers are here to apprehend the kidnappers. They won't trouble me.”
After hearing his words, Penny sighed in relief and left.
Terrence Ortiz and Zucker Johnson finally recovered from their state of shock after Penny left the scene.
The two of them were appalled as they were trying to understand why troops were sent to help Nathan, even though Franklin Wilson wasn't in Channing and Mr. Turner had spoken to the bigwigs in the business, politics, and military sectors.
Who had the audacity not to pay Mr. Turner his due respect and even openly opposes him? This is something rare in the South!
Terrence and Zucker stared at each other. Then, they ran toward Colin while begging not to be shot.
