Salute to the General novel Chapter 427

Ferlyn's friends spoke up too.

They said Penny wasn't ladylike and that she would soon end up looking like an old housewife. "No one like a woman who isn't feminine!"

The more people said the same thing, the more believable it sounded.

Penny didn't really mind Ferlyn calling her unladylike, but now everyone else was saying the same thing.

She wondered if she truly was as they described. All I do is work, and I only wear light makeup when I need to.

Will Nathan hate me for that?

Penny felt anxious.

She stood up and said apologetically, "I have to use the loo.”

After Penny left for the bathroom, Theodore stood up and announced, "I'll go check if the cake's ready. You guys have fun."

He left, too.

All who remained were Nathan, Ferlyn and her friends.

Penny's gaze fell on Nathan. The man had such a well-defined face. With his thin lips slightly curled into a subtle smile, he looked extremely captivating.

Her heart suddenly fluttered.Damn it. The more I look at him, the more ravishing he looks.

I have to win him over tonight!

Ferlyn raised her glass of red wine and stared at Nathan alluringly. "Nathan," she called out coquettishly.

Nathan's gaze fell on Ferlyn, who looked especially revealing. "Yes?" he responded with a faint smile.

Fluttering her eyelids, Ferlyn glanced at him flirtatiously. "The more I look at you, the more I realize how dashing you look.

Penny sure has good taste."
