Salute to the General novel Chapter 432

"We've only just met, so I can't say whether I like or dislike you. However, I already have someone I love, so don't ask me such questions again.”

Mary felt rather dejected. This was her first time falling for a man; unfortunately, he was married.

They soon arrived at her villa.

"Go on home," Nathan said to her. Tve asked Thomas to send some men to protect you. You're safe now."

Mary reluctantly got out of the car with Nathan's coat draped over her. "Thank you for tonight, Mr. Cross. Goodbye," she said softly while gazing at him.

Nathan nodded and gave Thomas an order. "Head to the hot springs. I have a score to settle with Lloyd."

"Yes, sir!"

Mary tightly clung onto Nathan's coat, muttering to herself as she watched the car disappear from her sight, "Some people are just like the moon; you can love them all you want, but you can never have them."

The heavy downpour continued late into the night.

The hot spring recreational center was part of Ocean Corporation, only opened to its employees.

In the lobby were several men in black with Bluetooth headsets in their ears. They either remained standing, sat on the couch, or lay down.

Some had dozed off, whereas some checked their phones out of boredom.

Suddenly, the glass door opened.

A tall, young man with attractive features strolled in while holding a black umbrella.

It was Nathan Cross.

Following him with reverence was his assistant, Thomas Dunn.

The security guards inside the lobby who had been slacking off quickly got up and made their way toward Nathan.

"What are you two doing here?" the leading man with a buzz cut demanded.

Nathan slowly retracted his umbrella before asking, "Is this one of Ocean Corporation's territories?"

The security guard was slightly taken aback. "Huh? You know about Ocean Corporation?"

He eyed Nathan from head to toe with interest and chuckled. "Judging from your outfit, you must be a rich kid. Are you thinking of joining Ocean after hearing how great we are?"

The other guards laughed while gazing at Nathan. "We only accept mercenaries who have fought actual battles, punk. Even the worst of us would have at least finished martial arts school."
