Outside the restaurant, Penny and the others watched Nathan and Miyamoto as they stood in the rain with alarm. They could not hear nor see clearly what was going on between the two of them.
Near the restaurant's window, Haruto and Bart were also doubtful about what was happening. They wondered why the Sword God hadn't made his move yet.
Why bother talking to Nathan Cross? Just kill him already!
At this moment, Nathan held his black umbrella and passed by Miyamoto, saying indifferently, "I came from the North and spent three cold winters there. This year, I face the bitter rain again..."
Miyamoto gripped his katana tightly as he trembled violently. In the end, he still dared not strike Nathan.
When he heard Nathan speak so poetically, a scene flashed before his eyes. It was a scene from the past when Nathan had exterminated the Coalition Army by himself with just his sword in the North.
Bodies were strewn everywhere as the blood flowed from the corpses and seeped into the ground. Nathan, clad in the General's uniform and holding his sword, walked across the battlefield in the downpour and hummed these very same words.
Boom!
Lightning flashed as another deafening thunderclap boomed over their heads.
It was as if Miyamoto had gone back to the past. That flash of lightning was eerily similar to the flash of the sword as Nathan attacked him.
"Ah!"
Miyamoto let out a blood-curdling scream. Throwing away his katana and kicking off his wooden clogs, he stepped in the murky puddles on the ground and ran around with a face full of madness.
He had gone crazy!
Penny and the others, including Bart and Haruto by the window, were all stupefied by what they were seeing.
Haruto was especially alarmed as he stood up quickly and asked, "Why has he gone mad? What's going on?"
