When Nathan and Destroyer returned to their home in Riverside Garden, it was already noon.
Penny was worried for Nathan. She knew that the Lund family of the East had sent all their manpower and challenged Nathan to a deathmatch.
She also knew that Nathan and Destroyer had probably left in the morning to meet the Lunds.
With that, she spent the entire morning worrying about Nathan. So when she saw that he had returned safely with Destroyer, she felt a weight off her chest.
She immediately went up to welcome Nathan and whispered, "Hubby, did you attend the Lund's deathmatch?"
Nathan knew that Penny was sharp, so he could not hide it from her. He smiled, "Since they came all this way, I had to meet them."
Penny inquired nervously, "They didn't make life difficult for you, did they?"
Nathan smiled, "Nope. Destroyer and I taught them to live and let live. Some of them realized the error in their ways, and some of them went back dejectedly."
He deliberately missed out on the rest of them, who would never leave the abandoned East Cemetery again.
When she heard Nathan brush it off so easily, she thought they had settled things and patted her chest, "Alright then. Ever since the Cross Group has become strong and powerful, a lot of jealous people have stirred trouble with us."
Nathan smiled, "It's alright. When I'm around, no one will be able to make life difficult for you or the Cross Group."
Speaking of which, Penny brought something up to Nathan, "Hubby, isn't it strange? The companies that deliberately delayed payment have all been obedient lately. Our suppliers have also become obedient."
Nathan knew that this was because he had made an example by killing Lund back then.
However, he did not take the credit for it and smiled, "It's probably because we sued Kayden Cook. When word got out, the companies we were dealing with probably got scared!"
