At nine o'clock that night, Nathan grabbed his phone, with the intent to call Lenard Smith of the Alberesque Smith's. He wanted the other man to return the one billion he had obtained from the Channing Smith's.
Before he could dial the number, his phone rang.
It was Jack. "Mr. Cross, I know that I shouldn't have bothered you like this, but something has happened at Blue Night that I feel I should report to you."
Nathan was surprised. What did Blue Night have to do with him?
"Speak!"
Jack told him everything, sparing no details.
It turned out that he had been left in charge of Blue Night, a bar.
Earlier tonight, Kylie and a few of her university friends had decided to go drinking there.
Being a beautiful woman, entering with a group of female friends only, several men had decided to act on their perverted thoughts.
One of the men, a guy named Howard Smith, had drugged Kylie's drink. After drinking it, she had fallen unconscious.
Howard then came forward, claiming to be her boyfriend, wanting to take her away.
To his misfortune, Jack saw through his trick instantly.
Jack had immediately ordered his men to detain Howard and his group, before calling Nathan.
"Mr. Cross, he keeps insisting that he's your sister-in-law's boyfriend. Yet, I saw with my own eyes how he had drugged her wine. That's why I did not dare to let him take her away."
Nathan hurriedly asked, "Is my sister-in-law okay?" 'She's fine, just unconscious. However, we can't confirm whether he really is her boyfriend or not, so we don't know what to do with him yet. He says that he's the heir of the Alberesque Smith's."
Relieved upon hearing that Kylie was fine, Nathan uttered, "Good job, Jack. I'm heading over right now."
Jack, who knew of the other man's true identity, was ecstatic at receiving praise from him. "Yes, sir! We'll keep them here until you arrive."
Nathan hung up and swiftly left for Blue Night.
