Nathan was touched after noticing his wife's resolve to face this with him despite her fears. "Don't worry, honey. I told you that not even Bachok can do anything." He comforted her, "If he doesn't come, then that will be the end of it. If he does, I will find him, and I will make him grovel and beg for forgiveness over his brother's unacceptable behavior."
The Smiths gasped at that bold declaration, for they thought Nathan was arrogant. He wants General Bachok from Avalon to grovel at Penny? Is this a joke?
Penny smiled bitterly. "I know you're trying to protect me, honey, but you don't have to go so far for that. I'll be content if Bachok would let us go. Beg for my forgiveness? Impossible."
Nathan smiled confidently. "Don't worry. If I say he's going to grovel, then he's going to grovel."
Sean and his family shook their heads, for they thought Nathan had taken overconfidence to another level.
A plane from Avalon slowly descended on Alberesque's international airport. A while later, Bachok and his entourage of a hundred men disembarked from the plane grandly. Under the airstair, a long red carpet unfurled for them.
Lenard and his men shouted, "Welcome to the South, General Bachok!"
Bachok looked at him arrogantly. "Mr. Smith, have you brought the one who injured my brother here?"
Lenard smiled bitterly. "I have failed you, General Bachok. I didn't manage to capture Nathan, and all my men, as well as my son, are beaten up."
Bachok frowned and waved him down. "Very well then. If you can't handle him, then I shall do this myself." He glanced at his murderous lackeys and smirked.
"These are the elites from the army I chose myself. They can take on a hundred men alone, so killing Nathan and destroying the Smith family are nothing to them. I have also sent five thousand warriors who disguised themselves as mercenaries. They will be arriving in the South through the waters and back me up."
Lenard was shocked and excited by the announcement. "With your power, Nathan and the Smiths shall meet their doom. I will lead you to Channing for your revenge, general."
Bachok grinned. "Thank you then."
That very afternoon, Lenard led Bachok and his entourage to Channing and let them stay at a big hotel. He even asked the chef to make a sumptuous curry-based feast to welcome them.
Bachok was satisfied with Lenard's arrangements, but he was disgruntled that there were no dancers to entertain them. "Whenever I have my meals in Avalon, there will be dancers to entertain us. I don't see any dancers here."
Lenard was surprised. He knew that Avalon people loved to dance in the movies, but he didn't expect that stereotype to translate to real life. "I'll get some Avalon dancers to entertain you, general.” He quickly said.
"And where are you supposed to find them?" Bachokchided. “No need forthat. I heard that Varog is crippled because of a woman. Get Penny Smith here and tell her if she wants to keep her family alive, then she must sleep with me.”
