Felix, John, and their gang all sniggered and John jeered at him, "Just keep boasting! I'll give you one hour. You lose if Quinn the pianist does not turn up by then."
Nathan said calmly, "One hour? All I need to do is one phone call and she will rush here."
Felix and his friends burst out laughing again as they teased Nathan for boasting.
Even Penny became anxious as she felt that Nathan was bragging a little too much.
Quinn was playing for the mayor and the group of leaders right now. How could it be possible that one phone call from Nathan would prompt her to leave them behind and rush here?
Even if she were willing to do so, the mayor and the other leaders would never allow that to happen!
However, Nathan took out his mobile phone confidently and called up Colin
Dunne. All he said was, "Please get Ms. Quinn the pianist to come to Empire Hotel within ten minutes to play a song for my wife."
After that, he hung up.
John and Felix, together with their gang began laughing out loud again.
John went on to jeer at him. "Hehe, this little guy here is quite good at pretending, isn't he? He could have fooled us easily!”
"You said you'll have Ms. Quinn here in ten minutes? Doesn't he know that it is peak hours now? Even if Ms. Quinn were to rush here, it would take her at least half an hour."
Felix laughed and said, "Since someone wants to show off and disregard the consequences, then be it. As long as he keeps to his promise when he loses the bet."
John then glared at Nathan. "If he dares to back out, I'll force the shit in this glass down his throat with my bare hands."
Everyone was standing aside ever ready to laugh at Nathan while Penny grew extremely anxious.
Time was ticking, and ten minutes was going to be up soon.
