Scrambling to Be the Father of His Ex-Wife's Kid novel Chapter 1035

He got off me and quickly walked into the bathroom.

I got up and looked in the direction of the bathroom. I was a little lost in thought. This was mentally exhausting.

I seemed to be running away this whole time.

Like a chicken with its head cut off, I did not even know what I wanted in the end.

The phone placed on the bedside table rang. It was my phone. I took a look and saw that it was a call from Shannon.

After answering the call, Shannon shouted, "Where did you go, Missy? Why did you go missing halfway through the singing session?"

Her voice was too loud, hurting my head even more. I pulled the phone farther away from my ear, saying a little helplessly, "I've already gone home. Something happened just now and I had to leave early. I'm really sorry I forgot to inform you."

"You went home?" Shannon’s voice was even louder now. "Aren’t you staying with Mr. Fredericks? Why did you go back first without waiting for him?"

I did not know what to say, so I chose to remain silent.

Shannon took a deep breath and asked again, "Who did you go back with?"

This woman had too many questions. I brushed my nose and said perfunctorily, "I met a friend from Whaldorf City."

Afraid that she would ask me more about this 'friend' o f mine, I quickly asked, "Are you still in the club?"

"Do you know what time it is now? Why would we still be in the club?" Shannon was a little speechless." We're getting old. How can we possibly stay up all night?"

She continued after a pause, "Mr. Fredericks has had too much to drink and can't go home tonight. Take care of yourself tonight. Lock the doors and windows."

I was stunned. "You got him drunk?"

She was really something to be able to get Jordan drunk.
