Scrambling to Be the Father of His Ex-Wife's Kid novel Chapter 1383

I opened my mouth to say something, but my logic told me that it was not the right time. Hence, I quickly swallowed my words. "You have to listen to your elders, Shannon. He's just doing what’s best for you."

"Why would you say that?" Shannon was dissatisfied.

"I don't think Mr. Collins would want to sabotage you."

It was getting late. After chatting a bit more, I hung up the phone.

The weather in the north was slowly creeping into Winter. It was barely six p.m. but the sky had already gone dark. It was chilly too.

I drove back to the villa and found out that Theo had already returned.

It was rare to see him get off work so early. He was cooking in the kitchen too.

I walked up to the kitchen door and leaned against it, watching as he busied himself with cooking. I could not help but feel a smile creep up my face.

When he turned around to grab something, the sight of me in the doorway made him jump. "When did you get back? Why didn’t you call me?”

I smiled. "I just got back."

Theo gave me an exasperated look. "Go wash your hands. Dinner is almost ready.”
