Theo immediately let go of my hand with a guilty look.

Smiling slightly, I lowered my hand.

Nicky rushed downstairs angrily. It was as if her feet were about to be driven through the floor. She inserted herself between us, and with her head lowered, she glanced at my hand before pointing at it and saying, “Wanda, I caught you just now. You were definitely holding Theo's hand.
