Scrambling to Be the Father of His Ex-Wife's Kid novel Chapter 2679

After leaving the cafe, I went straight back home.

Caroline was surprised to see me when I came back. "Madam, why are you back so early today?"

"I figured I'd make Theo dinner since I didn't have much to do today. You can go home early too, Caroline."

Caroline used to live here quite often in the past, but since Nina and Jason got married recently, she went back two to three times a week to help Nina with her health.

"Alright. Thank you, Madam."

"No worries. You hurry back home."

"Alright. The fridge is stocked."

"Okay." I smiled as I watched Caroling remove her apron before leaving the villa cheerfully.

I first carried the children out to the sofa in the living room to let them play on it.

Theo had customized the sofa so I did not need to worry about the children falling down.

Seeing them crawling around happily, I went back into the kitchen to start cooking.

After two hours, I was finally done preparing everything. Seeing that it was almost time, I grabbed my phone and made a call.

"Do you want to come over and eat today?”

"But… President Grant probably won't be too happy about this."

Hearing him falter, I knew that he was worried that Theo might get angry. Not me, though. "You should just come since I'm here. Call me when you're almost arriving. I'll have the security guard let you in."

"Alright then."

After hanging up the call, I started cooking.

The hands of the clock read seven just as I was serving up the last dish.

I looked out and saw that Theo had come home. Probably smelling the food, he asked, "Did Caroline make dinner so early today?"

"Why don't you take a look and see who prepared dinner, President Grant?" I stood at the table and asked with a tilt of my head.

Theo looked over at me, surprise written all over his face as he looked at the food on the table. "Did you purposely come back early today to make dinner?"
