When she walked out of the elevator, Selina Green's face was always red. She almost dared not to see Jeff Harris behind her. It was a big misunderstanding to be with him.
"Are you all right?" Jeff Harris held the little girl and asked with a smirk.
"I'm fine," said Selina.
"Next time, you can explain to them that we are just friends," Jeff suggested.
Were they friends? However, the way he held her child was clearly not as a friend. Plus, her daughter called him Daddy from time to time. If she said they were friends, people would discuss more.
"Forget it. I'm really okay." Selina Green laughed, as long as she didn't care. Anyway, after the matter four years ago, her heart had become very strong, and she could ignore it no matter what others said.
Jeff Harris felt a little distressed. This was a matter of fame. Why could she be so light and easy? Did she like him and let these people say it? Or did she not like him and she didn’t care what others would misunderstand?
Inexplicably, Jeff Harris had a lot of thoughts going on in his mind. He looked at the woman who was walking in front of him. From her slender back, he saw a kind of strength.
After checking her family history, he realized that she definitely didn't pretend to be strong, but that she was so strong.
A rich father who did not help, a stepmother who hated her, and a half-sister who wanted to kill her child. Her life was in danger.
The little girl was very comfortable sitting in her daddy's broad embrace. Her big eyes blinked. When she saw that a child who had ever played with her also sat in his daddy's arms and passed by her side, she immediately glanced at the little boy proudly.
As if to say, look, I had Daddy too.
Arriving at the supermarket entrance, Selina Green planned to put the little girl in the cart, but the little girl clung to Jeff Harris and refused to get into the cart. Jeff smiled, "Let me hold her!"
"You'll be tired after you hold her for so long." Selina Green didn't want him to be tired.
"I'm not tired. The little girl is so light. I won't be tired no matter how long I held her." Jeff Harris smiled.
Selina Green could not help but sigh, her daughter refused to come down, and she had no choice. It was as if when they were with him, her daughter would stick to him, and she would not even listen to her words.
"Mr. Harris, what do you usually like to eat?"
"I'm free. I don't pick it," replied Jeff Harris.
This made Selina Green feel a little embarrassed, so what should she buy? After she wandered around, she bought a fish to go for steaming, which was one of her best dishes.
And she bought ribs for soup. At this moment, when they walked past the toy section, the little girl pointed at the beautiful big doll, "Mummy, I want this!"
"No, you have a few at home."
The little girl pouted, and then looked at another one, "I didn't have this!"
Selina Green was speechless and patiently taught, "Carol, don't you like the dolls at home? They are listening to the stories with you and sleeping together with you! Do you want to throw them away? They are so pitiful."
The little girl blinked as if she was beginning to miss the dolls at home. She thought about throwing them away and immediately shook her head. "Don't throw them!"
"Okay! Then well take care of the baby dolls at home first!"
The little girl yelled so she wouldn't buy anymore. Jeff Harris was slightly surprised. This woman's way of teaching children was quite special. Next to her was a mother who refused to buy toys for her daughter harshly while Selina impressed her daughter by feelings.
