Chapter 123
“Don’t move a muscle; I’ll go check it out.”
Yolanda held Lizetta back as she hopped out of bed and darted out.
Lizetta didn’t put up a fight and got up too, casually grabbing a glass item from the nightstand to follow her.
Yolanda opened the door, frowning, “Mr. Dashiell?”
A man clad in black, chilled to the bone, stood outside. With a handsome yet frosty face, his gaze fleetingly swept over Yolanda, and her spontaneous exclamation of “Badass Remington” turned into “Mr. Dashiell“.
Remington Ignored Yolanda and strode into the room, heading straight for Lizetta at the bedroom doorway.
Lizetta was stunned, “How did you know I was here? And aren’t you…ahh!”
Before she could finish, Remington scooped her up and carried her into the bedroom, kicking the door shut behind him.
Yolanda snapped to her senses and rushed to push the door. It was locked from the inside, and Yolanda began frantically banging on it.
*Mr. Dashiell, what the heck are you doing!? What are you going to do to Liz? Cut it out; open the door!”
Inside the bedroom, Remington dropped Lizetta onto the bed and flung a piece of clothing at her from the wardrobe, “Put this on, and come with me!”
Lizetta, disoriented, got up with her hair all over the place and was too peeved to comply. Tucking few tufts of her hair up, she retorted, brows furrowed.
“What’s gotten into you in the middle of the night? I’m not dressing up and I’m not going anywhere with you! If you don’t want to divorce, we’ll just live separately!”
She stood her ground, her face icy cold.
Remington seemed shrouded in a cold mist, taking a step closer, he leaned down and grasped Lizetta’s chin, “Separate? Ha, nice try! I don’t agree, so you’re not going anywhere!”
He let go of her and stood up, “Not changing, huh? Fine.”
Sensing danger, Lizetta crossed her arms and backed away, “What are you gonna do? Mmmph!”
Her words were cut off as the duvet was thrown over her head. Before she could react, Remington grabbed her legs and flipped her over on the bed, rolling her up in the duvet like a cocoon,
Lizetta felt her world turn upside down as he hoisted her over his shoulder.
“Remington! Let me go; I’m not going back with you! Are you
t of your mind?
Lizetta kicked and struggled, but the duvet was wrapped too tight; she couldn’t even squirm, and Remington gave her a firm smack on the butt.
Even through the duvet, she could feel the sting.
“Liz! Badass Remington, if you don’t open this door I’m gonna kick it down!”
Yolanda was beside herself, stepping back to take a run at the door when it suddenly opened. She almost couldn’t stop herself, steadying against the wall just as Remington strode past her with Lizetta over his shoulder.
Yolanda hurried after them, only to be blocked by a man in black stepping inside the door in front of her.
“Move It! What in the world is Badass Remington up to in the dead of night? Yolanda clenched her fists, Teady to throw a punch.
The man had a stern face with a scar on his forehead, his eyes emotionless, like a cold–blooded killing machine
He spoke up. “You can’t beat me”
The disdain in his eyes was crystal clear. Yolanda was furing, but she knew she was no match for this man. He was Remington’s number–one bodyguard, mysterious and ruthless. Once, Yolanda had squared off against him; her hard–earned skills reduced to mere show, and she was floored in no time.
Yet worried for Lizetta, she charged, “Won’t know unless we try!”
