Chapter 279
The warmth on Remington’s handsome face vanished in a flash, leaving behind nothing but a clean slate.
He lifted his hand and pinched Lizetta’s chin, tilting her face upward.
Her eyes tangle.

The air in the carriage was still thick with the scent of their lovemaking, stirring a fiery tenderness in his
heart.
Yet this woman was already trying to slip away from him again!
Remington felt as if she’d dumped a bucket of ice water straight into his soul, the chilling sensation sparking an intense rage.
He suddenly tightened his grip on her jaw, his thin lips curling into a cold sneer.
“Back to the airport? I said, without my permission, you’re not going anywhere!”
His grip was strong, causing Lizetta to wince and furrow her brows in pain, frozen in shock.
“But you just agreed to take me back to the airport, right?”
She had told him that after this one time, he would take her back to the airport, and she thought he had silently agreed.

Remington scoffed, raising an eyebrow, “That was you talking. When did I agree?”
Lizetta was so furious she could explode, her embarrassment turning into rage as she swung at Remington’s chest.
She pummeled him frantically, “Remington, you bastard! You lowlife scumbag, no sense of decency! You heartless jerk! If you didn’t agree, then why the hell did you touch me?”
Her body was too weak to pack any real punch.
She looked fierce, but her fists hitting Remington felt like nothing to him.
He even leaned back lazily, giving her plenty of room to vent.
“Was it only me who enjoyed it just now? Who was it crying beneath me, begging me to slow down.”
Lizetta’s face turned beet red, and she quickly covered Remington’s mouth, glaring at him with embarrassment and anger. “Stop talking!”
Remington’s gaze darkened as he kissed Lizetta’s palm.
His lips were scorching, and the heat along with the tenderness of his tongue brushed against her palm, making Lizetta try to pull her hand away in panic.
But Remington suddenly grabbed her wrist, not allowing her to move.
He kissed her fingers gently, with a tenderness that seemed to wrap around her endlessly.
Every kiss felt like it landed straight on her heart.
Her heart was in total chaos, stirred by him.

Chapter 279
The suppressed longing and affection she had hidden deep inside were all being easily stirred up by him.
This was the man she had loved for so many years, from the age of eight to twenty–two.
Whether it was brotherly love or the romantic love that had gradually evolved, she had given it all to him. Only to him!
She couldn’t tell when her feelings had changed, but she knew that for those fourteen years, her whole heart, eyes, and world were filled with him.
Her love had lasted too long, and so had the wait, which always ended in emptiness.
She didn’t dare to hope for the outcome anymore.
Yet his current madness and ambiguous actions were giving Lizetta the wrong impression.
It seemed as if he loved her too.
Lizetta’s lips quivered and she tried to muster the courage to ask again.
