He would love her more.
Selene obeyed her mother, and had shut off her phone for the whole afternoon.
"Selene, wait for Sebastian's call later, he will call soon.” Jade looked at her girl, smiling.
"Mom, your methods are really useful." Selene looked back at her mother as she smiled delicately. 1
The two of them were about to leave together, but Lincoln remained still, his face frozen.
"Dad, what's wrong?" Selene pouted at her father.
"What's wrong? You're still able to be so merry?
Sebastian has been so concerned for you lately, while his mother's condition has been deteriorating. Your marriage is right around the corner, but what do we d o about the child in your belly?!"
Selene was speechless.
"Who’s child is it?! You’ve been pregnant for over two months, but neither me nor your mother knows. Who’s child is it?!" Lincoln roared.
Selene was trembling as she shrunk into Jade's arms. Tears had even started to fall.
Her father had never yelled at her like that.
Jade followed, pointing at Selene. "You stupid little
girl, we've been so strict on you, and you've always been a good girl. How could you end up with someone else’s child?
"You never even told your parents!
"You even kept it from Sebastian, do you know how dangerous that is?"
