"You don't want to die, but you want my daughter to die?" Gloria questioned sharply.
"I...she...if she doesn't die, my...my fake identity will eventually be exposed." Frightened, Selene ended up spilling the truth.
"Ha! Haha!" Gloria started laughing bitterly out of the blue. She turned to look at the old Master Shaw. "Are you seeing this, Mr. Shaw? This is your
granddaughter. It doesn't matter if she is an imposter or the real one, but she is the one you chose. You have despised my daughter for six years for her sake, and after six whole years, my daughter finally came home but still, you won't let her be! Mr. Shaw, do we have an unresolved grudge from our past lives?"
The old Master Shaw looked at Gloria in tears. "You are my Gloria. You are my Gloria, aren't you?"
She chuckled, despite the despair. "The Gloria you are speaking of, is your daughter, right?"
"Gloria..."
A bitter smile appeared on her face. "I'm sorry, Mr.
Shaw, but I...am really not your daughter. I'm not lying to you."
"How...how is that possible?" "My mom lied right before she passed away. She held
your wife's hands and told her that she stole your daughter from you and your wife, but she lied. She never took the daughter you had with your wife away. She only did that because she knew she was dying and I would be left with no one to take care of me, so she wanted me to return to the Shaw Family and enjoy being treated as the eldest daughter."
