Still Wanna Escape After Stealing My Heart? novel Chapter 1114

Lincoln's heart was dripping with blood.

"Dad..." Selene ran to him and hugged his leg. He kicked her away ruthlessly with one swift kick.

He had always claimed in public that Selene was his adopted daughter, and he always believed so too. Jade only told him the truth the next day after Selene’s symptoms were discovered.

"Lincoln, I have to tell you something. Actually...

Selene is not our adopted daughter. She’s your own flesh and blood. If you don’t believe me, you can take her for a DNA test." The first time Jade told Lincoln this piece of news, he was astounded.

Selene only came to the Lynn family when she was two years old. Back then, because of labor complications, her first baby was stillborn. Since then, she had become barren and spent her days crying and depressed.

Lincoln initially wanted to fight for his daughter's custodial rights so he and Jade could raise her together.

But, Jade told him she was furious every time she saw him and his ex-wife's daughter. Besides, what was there to worry about since she was living with his ex-wife?

Thinking of this, Lincoln agreed.

When Selene was brought to them, she was only two years old. The first time she met him, the two-year-old had already addressed him as 'Daddy'.

Lincoln was overjoyed, and since that day, he treated her as if she was his most precious piece of treasure.

Since they raised her since she was a young baby, Selene acted differently. Even though she was their adopted daughter, they loved her as if she was their very own child. Besides, when twelve-year-old Sabrina joined their family, she always looked at Lincoln with fearful, conservative, and yet stubborn eyes.

The twelve-year-old child never gave him a smile. Every time she saw him, she would make an effort to avoid him. If they did not feed her, she would rather starve, never trying to please him or beg him.

Sometimes when Lincoln grew anxious and hit her, the twelve-year-old girl would not cry either, not even letting out a single sob. She just looked at him like this, driving him even more furious.
