Noah greeted his father-in-law then mentioned the divorce. However, at that moment, his mother opened her mouth. "Noah, you're wrong for requesting a divorce when your wife is pregnant. Apologize to your father-in-law and follow him home!”
Even though his mother had never left the mountains her entire life, she was still an understanding woman. She knew to value peace and harmony above everything else.
The moment his mother's words left her mouth, his father-in-law started reprimanding him too. "You rascal! How could you do this! It’s normal for couples t o argue, how could you ask for a divorce just because o f an argument? Requesting for a divorce from the woman who is carrying your child! Are you even human!”
Noah knew he was at fault, so he lowered his head and apologized. "I’m sorry.”
"Go home!” His father-in-law ordered.
Noah did not move. His father-in-law continued," Since your mother is here, invite her home with us. I think your mother should just stay. After all, Willow is pregnant, and there's a three-year-old child at home. A family needs to be managed after all. Do you agree?” His father in law asked Noah's mother.
His mother nodded vehemently. "You're right. I don't want to cause any trouble."
Just like that, Noah and his mother followed his father -in-law, Kevin Dean, back home. His wife was still crying in anger. Both his wife and the little boy glared at Noah and his mother, their eyes wide opened in anger. Seeing Noah bringing home a dirty and disheveled old lady, the little boy did not even bother inquiring about her identity and immediately stomped on her foot viciously.
However, the old lady just smiled. "It's fine, it's fine, all children are mischievous. Little grandchild, what's your name? Would you like grandma to put you into bed?"
Since he addressed Noah as his father, the old lady also saw him as her grandson.
