Kingston replied respectfully, "Mrs. Ford, I woke up late this morning. In order to save time, I had my breakfast right after I woke up and hurt my throat."
Concerned, Sabrina immediately said, "Assistant Yates, you should go to the hospital, then. You shouldn't drive, let Sebastian drive instead, you should hurry and go-"
Sebastian interrupted her by pulling her back into his embrace, stopping her from continuing.
The car drove towards Sabrina's office and stopped on the outside of the building. They spotted Ryan and Marcus parking their cars and were about to step into the building, as the car pulled over.
It had been a while since Marcus had been to the office, but because his grandfather was ill, he had to stay by his side at the hospital for a while. The motto o f the Shaw Family had always been to be dutiful and respectful for one's parents, which was why he had left all operational issues at the hands of Ryan. It wasn't until today that he finally showed up at the office. Coincidentally, the four of them ran into one another right by the entrance.
Considering how long it had been since he saw Sabrina, Marcus couldn't help but acted overly enthusiastic.
"Sabbie!" he called out. Since the last they saw one another, she had finally become his actual cousin and Marcus felt overwhelmed with emotions. He had not doubted for a moment that Sabrina was his cousin since the first time he saw her. And now, he could finally address her as his cousin in public. Even if Sabrina and his aunt refused to acknowledge his grandfather, they were still connected by blood.
"Sis, what do you want to eat this afternoon? I'll buy you lunch," Marcus said. His tone resembled that of a big brother who wanted to spoil his little sister, like she was the most precious existence in the world.
Sabrina couldn't react, because she could feel Sebastian's grip around her wrist tightening to the point that she felt like her wrist could break at any moment.
Not only did he grip onto her wrist, Sebastian watched Marcus and Ryan with his bone-chilling gaze and asked, "Why does it seem like the sales rate of your firm hasn't increased for the last six months?"
Ryan jumped in and tried to explain. "Uncle Sebastian, it's just that both Marcus and I didn't think much about it, we just wanted to play ar-"
Sebastian interrupted him with a tone that sounded like death itself. "Let Marcus answer!"
Marcus looked at Sebastian in confusion. "Sebastian... but it's not like you have a share in this firm, right?"
Out of the blue, Sebastian barked. "If your firm fails to at least double your profit, or if the two of you fail to concentrate on running your own company, I'm going t o buy every last share of this operation by tomorrow and cross it off the market!"
