Still Wanna Escape After Stealing My Heart? novel Chapter 1189

Yvonne and Ruth, who were standing next to them, were both dumbfounded.

After he made the payment, Sebastian turned around and said to Sabrina, "You four should head downstairs and buy your gifts for Mom. I'll go look for you once things are settled here."

"Okay." She nodded obediently. Just as she was about t o leave, she spotted a man lounging on the sofa that was included in the furniture set Sebastian had purchased. Naturally, she leaned in closer and immediately snorted impatiently. "It was you?"

Alex, with an ungroomed beard along his jawline, explained, "Um...buying this set of furniture for your mom, is kind of based on my idea. I was the one who had my eyes on those."

Sabrina wasn't buying it. "What are you doing here just sitting around, instead of looking for Jane?"

Alex did not reply.

Just then, Aino had darted towards Alex from behind Sabrina. She glared furiously at him. "Uncle Alex, you are going to bring Aunt Jane back within ten days! If you don't, I'm never letting you pick me up again! I won't let you kiss me! I won't let you pinch my cheek! Hmph!" She shouted, as tears began to well up in her eyes. 1

The little girl looked adorable even when she was enraged. Every time Alex saw Aino, he would pick her up, kiss her on the forehead and pinch her little cheeks. But now, the little girl had announced that all those rights would be stripped from him. He chuckled suddenly, as though he was daydreaming. He was reminded of Jane. She had always wanted a child, but he had never given her one. Had they not gotten rid of their first child, he or she would have been even older than Aino by now. If only they had a child, how would she have run away that easily?

"Hmph! How can you still laugh?" Unreasonably, Aino abruptly started stomping on Alex's expensive boots. Within seconds, his boots became extremely filthy. "I hate Uncle Alex! Hurry up and find me my Aunt Jane! Get up, stop sitting on my grandma's sofa!"

The six-year-old little girl could be incredibly fierce when she was enraged. Though Alex had the power to rule over millions, he was powerless before Aino in the present. With both his boots in a horrendous state, Alex stood from the sofa and said to Sebastian, "My presence here will only enrage your little queen, I should head home. I didn't drink today, so I can drive home by myself."

Sebastian took a glance at Aino in her furious state, and responded, "Come with us to Aino's grandmother's country-side garden tomorrow to relax?

Alex shook his head. "No, thanks. I need to extend the search perimeter and find her as soon as possible, otherwise your two queens will skin me alive."

Kingston held back a laughter. Though Alex looked depressed, Kingston somehow found it amusing, but h e didn't dare to laugh out loud. He could only cast Aino a look with a hand covering his mouth as though to say "well done".

Alex paid no mind to the looks Kingston and Aino casted one another, but instead looked at Sabrina in resignation. "By the way, Sabrina, if she calls you again, don't push her into saying where she is first. I'm afraid that might scare her off again."

"Then what should I ask?"

"Ask if she needs money. She is far too naive, with no working experience and no money on her, she couldn't survive."

Sabrina became even more frustrated with him with the thought of that. "What would you do earlier on if you know that she couldn't survive on her own?"

Suddenly, her phone rang and when Sabrina glanced a t her phone, she realized it was from a foreign number. She hastily picked it up. "Hello..."

On the other end of the line, Jane's voice came through distinctly. "Sabrina, could you...lend me some money?"
