A week later, Noah had gone through the entire field behind the mountain and planted the crops. All that was left was to go into town to look for work.
"Jane, rest here at home. If it gets too stuffy in here, get Mom to go outside for a sunbath with you. We are living in the mountains, so it's nothing like living in big cities like South City, you might not see another soul for a whole month," Noah said to Jane as he was heading out.
Jane grabbed onto him. "I'm not afraid of being alone, Noah."
Noah looked at her.
"I was once locked into a dark room for years, so I'm used to loneliness. I just want to go look for jobs like you. I want a job of my own, so at night, we can come home together. I want to provide my child with an extra layer of assurance," she pleaded as she stared eagerly at Noah.
He could tell how much Jane wanted this from the look in her eyes. After all that she had been through, she finally realized that she shouldn't depend on anyone but herself. Though he didn't want her to work while being pregnant, Noah caved and agreed, "Okay, let's go into town to look for jobs together." "But before that, there is something I need to do," Jane
added.
"What is it? Do you want to get some clothes? Sure, I'll go with you."
Jane shook her head. "It's about the money we borrowed from Sabrina. I need to give her a call. I want to spend the rest of my life with you in peace, so I don't want to cause you any trouble. I want to ask Sabrina to help resolve this." i
"Okay." He nodded.
A day later, Jane called Sabrina.
"Sabrina, I'm really doing great," she told Sabrina calmly. 1
"Okay, Jane. I'm good as long as you are safe. Don't worry about money, Jane. Let me know whenever you need something," Sabrina urged hastily.
