"I don't know!" Sabrina said impatiently. She was still irritated about the phone call Lori was on earlier.
"Thank you, Sabrina! Yvonne finally made up with me! " Marcus grinned innocently.
Relieved, Sabrina smiled. "Congratulations, Cousin Marcus, be good to Yvonne. She is a good girl with no dramas or schemes, just a very bright and cheerful girl. H
"I know, Sabbie. I know," Marcus reassured, still extremely excited.
Sabrina had wanted to ask him if he was going to have lunch with Lori, but when she thought about it, she realized she had no right to ask him about it. She changed the subject. "It seems like Ruth and I won't b e able to have lunch with Yvonne today. I'm guessing that the two of you are having lunch together, right?"
"Of course!"
"Let's go, then, we should get to work."
For the rest of the morning, Sabrina was so caught up with work that she barely even had the time to take a sip of water. It wasn't until noon that Ruth said to her," Stop drawing, Sabrina. You are going to get neck pain i f you keep looking down onto the table and refuse to eat. Come, let's go get Yvonne. I'll buy you lunch today."
Sabrina did not bother looking up. "There's no need to get Yvonne, she has a date today."
Ruth's interest was immediately piqued. "What did you say? Yvonne and my cousin, no, your cousin- also wrong, our cousin, did they make up?"
Sabrina was no longer angry at that point. "You are pretty sharp-witted."
"Hehehe..."
"Let's go for sushi. It's your treat!"
"No problem!"
"Why is our little firecracker so generous today? Not only did you not try to get me to pay, but you are offering to buy me lunch?" Sabrina followed Ruth.
Ruth chuckled. "Ryan gave me his company card. I didn't want it at first, but after thinking about it, I realized that there's no reason I shouldn't have it. I'm his wife, after all. His salary is supposed to be mine to keep in check." 1
