Three women were all it took to have fun. They ordered tuna sushi, mango cheese sushi, and shrimp sushi with three little bottles of mild sake. That afternoon, the three chatted while sipping on their sake and that had been fun enough.
"Now all that's missing is Jane," Yvonne said.
"I'm not sure if Ryan's uncle will ever find Aunt Jane again. I miss her, too. If Aunt Jane can't marry into the Poole family and I have to do it alone, a little firecracker like me will still be scared."
"He didn't find anything this time. I feel like Jane might not want to come back. Otherwise, she wouldn't have hidden from Alex over and over again," Sabrina commented, sounding as though she was relieved.
Both Yvonne and Ruth looked at her and Yvonne asked, "Sabrina, didn't you say that Jane is pregnant? What is she going to do if she doesn't come back?"
"There are plenty of great men out there, so she doesn't have to settle with Alex." Sabrina grinned. She paused for a moment before continuing, "Jane was the woman who had been with him for over six years, who had gone through multiple abortions to the point that her body was no longer able to bear with it, and she’s also the same woman that he chased out with nothing but a few words."
"That's true. Alex was really, really heartless at the time," Yvonne said gloomily.
"When he wanted her, he kept her around to do chores around the house, to sleep with him, and for him to impregnate and abort over and over again; when he no longer wanted her, he went and chased her out of his house personally! What a joke of a man! Why should she come back? Could she not find another man in this world?"
Sabrina's words had both of her friends nodding in agreement.
"That's right! Since he's already chased her away, why would she come back again?? She won't! Not even if you send a tank to drag her back! The child in her belly has nothing to do with him. It's rightfully hers! Hmph!" Yvonne claimed while beating her chest proudly.
Ruth, too, was furious. "Ryan's uncle Alex is going to b e so mad. He should be suffering in remorse for the rest of his life while his child calls someone else their father!"
The three women did not drink that often and, on the rare occasion that they drank sake, despite it being low in alcoholic content, they still ended up getting light-headed. Just as the three were all expressing their ideas, Sabrina's phone rang. She took it out to have a look and found that it was Marcus who was calling her.
