The man who stood outside the door was a stranger, and he was carrying a large package in his hand.
"May I know if you are Aino Scott?" asked the man.
"I'm not. She is my daughter."
"This is a package for Aino sent from abroad,” said the man.
A package? She had not ordered many packages since she got pregnant. It was mostly Ruth and Yvonne who was in charge of ordering things for Aino, and they had never sent any packages directly to the house. Instead, Ruth and Yvonne would send the packages over themselves. Why would this package be delivered to her house? Sabrina had her doubts, but she did not ask too many questions. She picked up the pen and sign to acknowledge receipt. The package was very huge. It was a box that was a cubic meter in size.
After the delivery man helped Sabrina get the box in the house, she opened it with a utility knife. Sabrina was immediately dazzled after she had opened up the box. She saw that there were all sorts of toys in there, and all over them were incomparably exquisite.
Who could it be? Who would buy so many toys for Aino at once?
Just as Sabrina was about to take out her phone and t
o call Ruth or Yvonne to ask them, her phone rang. It was an unfamiliar number. Sabrina hesitated a little. She had been receiving calls from unfamiliar numbers from time to time in the past couple of months. She knew very well that it was Holden calling from abroad.
Later on, Sabrina learned that the reason Holden could get on his feet abroad so quickly was because Sean and his wife had sponsored Holden almost a billion dollars when he left. It made sense for Sean to give Holden a billion dollars so readily because Holden was his biological son, after all. However, why would Rose so straightforwardly give that money to Holden? Sabrina had always been wondering silently, but she had no one to ask.
