"If we were to compare the value of ten million dollars from thirty years ago to the value of the present day, it should be estimated to be more than one hundred million dollars," Vincent told his daughter, Yvonne, about his past that happened 30 years ago in his old voice.
That was a story in the past that had been sealed. Neither Vincent nor Helena was willing to mention it.
More than 30 years have passed, but there were still people who would maliciously dig out this past. Since it had been dug out, both Vincent and Helena had nothing to hide anymore.
"Dad, is it because of that woman, your ex-wife, Belinda, has gotten ten million dollars and you feel she should already be able to live comfortably, so you divorced her?" asked Yvonne.
Vincent shook his head. "No."
Yvonne was curious. "Then why?"
At that moment, her uncle, Wymond, interjected, "Yvonne, hear your father out."
Yvonne nodded and continued looking at her father.
Vincent started to recall the past again.
More than 30 years ago, when Belinda heard the father of the child, that 80-year-old man, left her and her child ten million dollars, she was crazily happy. After she was done feeling happy, the first thing she did was give Vincent a backhand slap.
