"My boyfriend broke up with me. I was kicked out of the company. I didn't even stop here. I even kept pestering him and disturbing his life. So..."
Speaking of that, Eevonne looked at her colleagues with an incredibly apologetic gaze. "So the fact that he felt like he was looking at a devil when he saw me now was not because of something that had happened at work. Instead, he truly would take me as a devil. Also, all of these consequences are caused by me. He is a man with a very good character and is very hard-working at work. Otherwise, he would not have been able to become the boss of the company in just five short years. This matter is indeed my fault. I can't blame others. I truly want to take the blame for this severe mistake and resign."
Upon saying that, Eevonne looked at all of her colleagues present, but none of them said anything. "I'm sorry, everybody. Did my words frighten all of you? I am really quite sorry. I truly was such a jerk in the past. I'm sorry."
She was feeling very calm. She had never done anything that went against her own conscience in this company anyway. In this company, she had never lied about her academic qualifications and had never lied to anybody. She rose to her position by starting as a tally clerk, which was the most entry-level position, so she was feeling very calm. It did not matter to her even if her colleagues did not accept her.
However, she never expected that the first colleague who spoke said, "Why are you so honest, Eevonne? All those matters are from eight hundred years ago. You didn't hide or cover it up, and you even revealed all ancient histories again. Eevonne, I felt even calmer when I heard you saying that. Do you know what I did when I had just joined the Ford Group? I told the human resource department that my monthly salary in the past was twenty thousand dollars. In fact, let me just tell you, my monthly salary at that time was only four thousand dollars...”
Eevonne was speechless.
"Eevonne, L.the college that I attended abroad is a . diploma mill."
"Well, Eevonne...! kept saying that I've lost my diploma, but I...actually dropped out..."
Eevonne was speechless. It was after pausing for a long while that she said while feeling dumbfounded, "Why did all of you .all off you..."
In fact, only three of them were like that, the other people in the department were still normal.
These three people suddenly smiled in relief. "Society is so complicated in this day and age. Who doesn’t have a few private matters and stories that are too shameful to tell?"
Eevonne also smiled. They were right. Who would not have some private matters and stories? She did not harm anybody.
"Don't go, Eevonne. All that is already in your past. It has nothing to do with you now. He doesn't understand how hardworking you are right now, so how can he just simply deny everything about you? Are you pestering him now? You aren't, are you? Since you didn't, since he is already doing quite well now, and he already has such a beautiful girlfriend now, he is not hindered in any way, so on what grounds could he still not spare you? At best, both of you just don't get involved with each other. Besides, haven't you already apologized to him? Is he still not letting it go?"
Eevonne bit her lips. "I don't know. I also don't know if he will still collaborate with our company. Forget it. I have done nothing wrong. If he is willing to collaborate with our company without me leaving, then I'm willing to apologize to him in front of everyone in our company and also his company."
Eevonne said the same thing to the director.
"Sir, I’ll stay. Even though we're not going to keep their company, before we take the final step, we can't give up either. As long as he agrees to collaborate with us, I can promise him whatever terms he asks for."
Eevonne looked firmly at the director.
"You're really very sensible, Eevonne. I'll call and talk to him now," said the director, who was already dialing Dash's number.
"You would rather keep her than collaborate with us. Do you know what she has done?" Dash asked furiously.
