"Yes, that’s fine. It's no big deal since it doesn't violate any issues of privacy. You're just watching the CCTV recording of your desk, so there's nothing wrong with that," one security guard said very politely, while the other nodded fervently in agreement.
Just like that, they managed to obtain the video recording. Sabrina rewinded the video to the hour she had spent in Human Resources. She found her suspect just ten minutes into the video.
It must have been only about fifteen minutes after she had been called away by Human Resources when
Ruth carefully pushed a swivel chair to Sabrina's desk.
As she was rolling Sabrina's original chair away, Ruth seemed much more casual and brisk, the complete opposite of how cautious she had looked when she was bringing the new chair in.
"Why did she replace your chair?" Yvonne asked, confused.
"I want to find out too," Sabrina replied, her eyes still glued to the screen.
After leaving the surveillance room, she headed back t o the design department. It was completely empty, as all the other employees had already gone out for lunch.
Fair enough.
It would be better if no one was around.
Sabrina copied Ruth exactly, carefully pushing the new swivel chair until she finally reached Ruth's office upstairs. Since Yvonne had already shown her where Ruth's desk was, all that was left for Sabrina to do was to bring the chair there.
She quickly rolled Ruth's original chair away and placed it in some hidden corner before replacing it with the one she brought. Then, Sabina stood there to wait for Ruth.
After a while, Ruth walked into her office with a few other employees who had been talking and laughing with each other on the way up. At the company, all of Ruth's colleagues usually marched to the beat of her drum.
When several of her lackeys noticed that Sabrina was standing at Ruth’s desk looking all sincere, they started to chuckle among themselves. "Ruth, the little country bumpkin who thinks she's a queen just because Master Ryan paid her some attention yesterday is here."
"She must be here to confess her guilt."
"She definitely is, look at her, all scared and nervous."
"Admitting defeat so soon? You bore me," Ruth said mockingly. She continued to sneer, "Even if she surrenders, I can’t just spare her! She is the mistress who ruined my sister and my brother-in-law's marriage after all!"
