Still Wanna Escape After Stealing My Heart? novel Chapter 364

To Sabrina, South City had always been nothing but a hotbed of trouble. It was a fact that she had known by heart ever since she first came here at the age of twelve. As such, Sabrina had learned that it was best t o ignore situations like this.

Since she had no choice but to live in South City for now, the only thing she could do was to stay calm and learn to be more forgiving. If she encountered unavoidable conflicts, she would deal with them accordingly.

Right now, all she wanted was to do her job well.

She didn't want to cause any more trouble if she could avoid it.

Yet, as Sabrina said that, the other colleagues suddenly shrunk back into their desks at the same time. No one dared to open their mouths again after hearing her jarring words.

Sabrina spent the afternoon at her desk, helping Linda proofread some of the first drafts she had given her. A t one point, she got up to ask tentatively, "Linda, your designs..."

"Can you understand my designs?" Although Linda wasn’t audacious enough to mock Sabrina again after their last conversation, she still harboured anger deep inside her. As such, her attitude towards Sabrina

remained hostile.

Sabrina nodded. "Yes, I can."

"Then what's the problem?!" Linda rolled her eyes, saying to Sabrina sarcastically, "You actually aren't so much of the country bumpkin that you portray yourself to be. You may be tenacious, I'll give you that, but that doesn't make you good at your job! The more tenacious you are, the less skilled you'll become when doing your work, because most of your energy will have been wasted on fighting your colleagues!"

Her words left Sabrina speechless.

"What? Do you have any objections? Or do you intend t o start another fight in this office.?Let me just tell you now that no one here has any ill-intentions toward you!" Linda admonished.

Sabrina, trying to calm herself down, started to lower her head slightly. She explained in a soft tone, "I just wanted to ask if you need me to check the rationality o f your designs?"

"What makes you think you have the right to do so?!" Linda shot the question back at her.

Sabrina, feeling wronged, quickly replied, "Weren't you the one who asked me to proofread your designs?"
