'Why do you keep bringing it up?' he thought.
The sound of Kingston chuckling had deepened Sabrina's panic. Lucky for her, though Kingston was hired by Sebastian, he tended to be more supportive of Sabrina and immediately jumped into the conversation by explaining, "Mrs. Ford, I believe Master Sebastian is asking if you are free over the weekend. If so, he would like to take you to the driving school for your lessons."
"Oh..." So he didn't need to ask her anything about Ryan? That's for the best, since she never had anything to speak of regarding Ryan to begin with.
"Tomorrow is my rest day," she responded as she looked at Sebastian.
He did not react in any way but remained expressionless. Sabrina could not figure out what the man was thinking even if her life depended on it, and decided to remain silent as well. It was not until they had picked Aino up from the kindergarten that the car was once again filled with laughter. 1
"Mommy," said Aino as soon as she was in the car. ' Susan's mommy wants your contact, do you want to give her your number?"
Sabrina was reluctant at being associated with nouveau riche like Susan's mother who thought
money was everything. Apart from that, there had been conflicts with Susan's mother so she did not see the point of exchanging contact. Sabrina cupped Aino's cheeks gently in her palms and said, "Aino, Susan's mommy belongs to a circle filled with rich ladies. Mommy doesn't have time to play poker and talk about jewelry all day, so it's best we don't."
"Okay, Mommy." Aino had always listened to her mother. She knew that Sabrina lived a difficult life and never demanded anything from Sabrina that she didn't like. Aino continued to make small talk with her parents, sharing interesting things that had happened that day in the kindergarten. Time flew among laughter and conversation and they arrived home before anyone realized it. After dinner was the family time Sebastian shared with his daughter. It was also the time of the day that Sabrina looked forward to. No matter how almighty the man seemed outside in the world, he would always become the best father who was more than willing to spoil his daughter rotten at home. Sabrina did not have the heart to interrupt the private time between Sebastian and Aino, so she took her bathrobes and went to the bathroom for a long bath, fully intending to pamper herself with a facial after it. Just as she stepped out of the bathtub with her robes and went to put on the facial mask with water still dripping off her, she realized from the reflection of the mirror that
Sebastian was observing her while leaning against the bathroom door lazily.
