Meanwhile, Sabrina could not find peace within her at all. She knew that she was stuck in the middle of a whirlpool with danger lurking at every corner. The members of the Lynn Family would do everything in their power to make sure she suffered.
She was aware that Nigel considered his kindness to her as mere charity. She ultimately knew that the reason Sebastian kept her around despite finding out about her pregnancy was simply for his mother's sake.
She was another lowly woman who had no one to depend on in this society. She could only remind herself to be cautious, over and over again. She went straight into her bedroom as soon as she entered Sebastian's apartment and refused to step out, not even for food, when in truth, she was starving. 1
She waited until eleven at night before finally coming out with a basin. She assumed both of them would not be in the living room and headed towards the bathroom to get some hot water for a bath, and to her surprise, she found Sebastian sitting by himself in the living room.
Sabrina walked over to Sebastian calmly and said," M r. Ford, you didn't have to chase Selene away simply because I am living here. I would try my best not to come out of my room so I wouldn't be much of a trouble." 2
Sebastian looked at Sabrina with a cold expression, and before he could respond, she had already left with the basin in her hands.
Sabrina couldn't sleep very well that night. She knew the Lynn Family and Selene like the back of her hand, and they would surely blame her for Sebastian's reluctance to let Selene stay the night. 2
She woke up the next morning feeling slightly under the weather but insisted on showing up to work regardless. She spent the entire morning running errands without rest for different departments as she did yesterday.
It wasn't until noon when Sabrina was stopped from what she was doing. She was called into the office of the Design Director.
"The designs that you showed me when you first came to the interview. Did you draw them?" The director went straight to the point and asked. 1
