This was his granddaughter's nemesis!
Meanwhile, looking at the old man sitting in front of her, Sabrina suddenly felt overwhelmed by a sense of compassion.
She knew a lot of things, but was not willing to admit i t. It was because if everything she knew was really true, there would only be despair left for her in this world. 1
She would rather just deny them.
She didn't need to have any more family in this world anymore, aside from Aino and Zayn.
No more!
Sabrina sneered. "Old Master Shaw, I congratulate you for finding your true granddaughter after spending so much time and effort.
"Since your own daughter is no longer alive, it’s only natural that you feel responsible to keep your granddaughter well-protected. After seeing this, your daughter’s spirit in heaven must be very relieved, right?
"Old Master Shaw, I don’t mean to intrude, but let me ask, have you ever dreamt of your daughter after so many years?
"When you see her in your dreams, do you ever tell
her, 'I'm taking care of your daughter well'?
"Does she ever laugh or cry?"
Sabrina's words were particularly baffling. Even the wise Old Master Shaw was not able to comprehend it fully. With a puzzled tone, he asked, "You...what do you mean by all that?"
Sabrina simply shook her head. "Nothing at all. I just wanted to ask you, Mr Shaw, since you are so confident that Sebastian will divorce me once he hears your terms for helping him conquer the island, why are you still wasting your time here, threatening me? I assume that it didn't work, and you're out of ideas?"
Old Master Shaw was at a loss of words.
He suddenly shrunk back from having his motives exposed.
Sabrina continued speaking very calmly, "I'm sorry, M r Shaw. I’m a mere employee at this company, and am not qualified to use this high-end VIP room to meet guests. I still have to get back to work, so I won't keep you any longer!"
