Still Wanna Escape After Stealing My Heart? novel Chapter 63

"Please get out of the way!" Sabrina demanded in disgust, not bothering to cast a look at the woman in front of her. She never liked girls from wealthy backgrounds, always sticking their noses to where they didn't belong.

Mindy blocked Sabrina's way and continued to ask," You are in desperate need of money?"

"Mind your own business!" Sabrina retorted.

"I know you are just another girl who wants to climb your way to the top but has no clue how you could go about doing that. Choosing to be one of the waitresses at the party that the Form Family held for the purpose of finding Master Sebastian a wife, and using that as a stepping stone was quite ambitious. Unfortunately, you only ended up being used by Sebastian."

Sabrina had no intention of wasting her time with this woman and wanted nothing more than to leave with all the food she had bought, but was helpless with Mindy blocking her way at the entrance.

"You have good taste," Mindy carried on, "to have picked out my cousin Marcus as your target at the party. You might not be aware of this, but the Shaw Family is only second to the Ford Family in terms of wealth and power. Sadly, the Shaw Family is also known for being extremely strict to discipline and my grandpa and the Shaw Family will never allow

anything to happen between you and my cousin. Which is precisely why despite his politeness, he refused to lend you money."

Mindy's words stabbed Sabrina's heart like sharpened arrows, reminding her once again how she had made a fool of herself by asking for Marcus's help at Sebastian's party. It was likely that she had been known by all of the elite community as people gossiped about her, saying things like, "Look at that shabby wench. How dare she ask for money first thing in a conversation with a stranger? Did she think that money grows on trees?" or, "Well, it's just two thousands, but I guess beggars can't be choosers.

What a fool."

Different expressions filled Sabrina's face as indescribable feelings and humiliation crossed her mind, but she was never one that was good at expressing and defending herself. She only managed t o retort calmly, "Your breath stinks."

"What?" Mindy didn't hear her the first time.

"Your breath stinks, horribly!" Sabrina repeated.

"Why you..." Mindy didn't imagine the lowborn before her to be so vicious and was rendered speechless for a moment. 1

"Miss, your hairband fell on the floor and you kind of look like a mad woman with that hair. You might want to focus on tidying yourself up first." Sabrina turned to look at the ground. Mindy seemed to have finally realized her hairband had indeed dropped and reached down to grab it in frustration. Realizing that this was her chance, Sabrina strode off. 1 "Sabrina, you stop right there!" Mindy shouted from behind, "don't you need money? I have a way here for you to earn what you need. Don't you worry about me lying about this, my aunt is the eldest daughter-in-law of the Shaw Family!"

Sabrina stopped and contemplated, she really did need the money. The only thing that could pique her interest most efficiently at the moment was to mention a way to earn what she needed quickly, as that would mean that she could pay Nigel back the three thousand dollars she had borrowed. Finally, Sabrina turned around to face Mindy.

Mindy laughed and explained, "Sabrina, a few days from now, there will be a cruise party amongst the elites. We need a clown to perform at the party by surprising the guests with different scenarios. The clown may be required to play a witch, or a stepmother or even a streetwalker from London, characters that are struggling in their own ways. But o f course, we don't mean to mock them. If the performance on the cruise goes smoothly, you might just earn yourself over ten thousand from just the tips you get in three to four hours." 2

The words "one night", "three to four hours" and "ten thousands" had successfully caught Sabrina's attention, but she was not naive enough to think that the woman in front of her was giving the advice for her sake.
