Still Wanna Escape After Stealing My Heart? novel Chapter 65

"Who I am does not concern you. What matters is that I will never allow a woman like you to approach my grandson!" The Old Master Shaw scanned Sabrina up and down as he spoke. The sallow skin of the woman before him oozed exhaustion and it was clear that she was experienced with men. The makeup on her face could barely conceal her inferiority and the thick foundation on her face seemed to fall apart every time Sabrina spoke. All that with the outfit she was wearing had her looking like the definition of streetwalkers itself. 1

'How dare a woman like this try to seduce a man from the Shaw Family?’ he thought.

"Oh my, Grandpa Shaw, what a coincidence. What brings you here?" Mindy made a point to keep her tone surprised as she pretended to have finally caught sight of the old Master Shaw. She couldn't help but cast a glance over to Sabrina triumphantly and patted herself on the shoulders in her mind for creating such a masterpiece. She had Sabrina dressed in the custom with that makeup and plotted for the old Master Shaw to come here precisely at this time, so as to show him what a lowborn this woman was to the Old Master Shaw.

Being the daughter of Marcus's aunt, Mindy grew up with the Shaw Family. Her parents passed away when she was still a child and so Marcus's mother had

taken her in and raised her as a member of the Shaw Family. For that, Mindy had always considered herself as the eldest daughter of the Shaw Family. And as the eldest daughter of the Shaw Family, she viewed herself as the most qualified candidate in the South City to be Sebastian's wife and yet, her dream was shattered when Sebastian kissed Sabrina in front of every guest at the party. She could not begin to describe the frustration she felt and had her cousin Marcus not stopped her that day, she would have gone up to Sabrina and destroyed that face of hers. 3

And now, not only was Sabrina contented with seducing Master Sebastian, she even had her eyes set on Mindy's cousin Marcus. He said that he was only being nice to Sabrina like he would to a sister, but what does that make Mindy? She was the eldest daughter of the Shaw Family, Marcus's sister by blood, whereas Sabrina was nothing but a shameless lowborn! Mindy was determined to have Shaw Family's elder master see for himself just how cheap o f a woman Sabrina was.

Sabrina realized at that moment that one of the many intentions Mindy had for hiring her as the performer a t the cruise party, was to have her seen in this pathetic state by the grandfather of Marcus. Sabrina snorted inwardly at just how ridiculous the past month had been since she was released from prison. A former prisoner like her seemed to find herself caught in the middle of the meaningless games of the wealthy ever since she associated herself with Sebastian.

"Old Master Shaw." Sabrina did not bother to spare the Old Master Shaw a look and said, "even if I have the intention to seduce Master Sebastian, it all comes down to whether Master Shaw accepts it, doesn't it? H e is not a child, he's an adult man. Does he not have any self-control? Don't you think you are going to the wrong person to speak about this? Why should I listen to you?" 2

Never did the Old Master Shaw imagined that a mere streetwalker would be this sharp-tongued. Instead of fearing him, she had the nerve to argue with him. 1

"Also," Sabrina added, "please tell your grandson to leave me alone! That includes your granddaughter Mindy or whoever she is, get her in control! I am running out of patience with them and I don't have the time to play games!"

Mindy watched in silence.

"By the way, Mindy," Sabrina turned to look at Mindy steadily, "you promised that you would hire me as the performer for the cruise party, and that if I did what was asked of me, the tip would reach up to ten thousand dollars. Since you've given your words and I have made it here to try the customs as you've asked, please remember to keep your promise. I am waiting for that ten thousand dollars!" And with that, Sabrina strode off.
