It truly was a wonder to anyone how the eighty years old man could withstand so much. What most people were not aware of was that the old Master Shaw had always been fit as a fiddle since he was young. During his hospitalization in Kidon City, Sebastian had consulted with the doctor regarding his condition and was informed that the old man was healthy. He did it all for his granddaughter. He insisted on taking his granddaughter with him to Kidon City in fear that she might be exposed to Sebastian's cruelty.
"My grandson is right here in the old Ford residence. Why would you need my permission to release him if you really want to?" the old Master Shaw responded sheepishly to Sebastian's question.
"That's right," Sebastian chuckled and commanded the butler. "Go! Release the young Master Shaw!"
The butler nodded frantically in response. "Ye-yes, Master Sebastian! I'll have it done right away!"
"Hang on!" Sebastian barked.
Frightened , the butler turned back hesitantly. "Master Sebastian?"
"Marcus is here as my guest. Your action of taking the liberty to lock him up is a violation to the house rule, s o make sure you apologize to the young Master Shaw!" Sebastian warned with a chilling voice.
"Yes, of course, I understand, Master Sebastian. I- I will apologize to the young Master Shaw and release him, then come right back here for my punishment!" Sweating profusely from the stress, the butler immediately ran off. He knew that Master Sebastian had every reason to kill him for his demeaning action towards young mistress Ford and for sucking up to Selene. He couldn't run. If he couldn't escape, he might as well admit his wrongdoings and accept the punishment for it.
It didn't take over two minutes before the butler returned with Marcus. Marcus looked around the hall and found it in a state of chaos and silence. Most guests were seated in their own place, while his grandfather stared at the ground, his face turning purple with frustration. Behind his grandfather were Lincoln, Jade and Selene. Dear lord, were they discomfited. Lincoln seemed fine, at least he looked rather tidy, but his wife Jade was a completely different story. Her hair was all tangled up as if she had just been assaulted. Though, the worst looking one had to be Selene. Her face was bone-chillingly horrendous like a ghost in a horror movie. Marcus studied the three and was instantly overwhelmed by euphoria at their misfortune.
"Grandfather," he called out.
"Marcus, I heard you are here as someone's date," the old Master Shaw drawled.
Seeing as the situation seemed far too complicated for him to get involved, Marcus decided that it may be best to not ask any further questions, and save them for when he returned home later. As for the Lynn Family, Marcus felt no sympathy for them. They had it coming!
He walked towards Yvonne, looking guilty. "I'm sorry for keeping you waiting, Yvonne."
"It's alright." Yvonne comforted him with a cheerful smile. She took Marcus's hand and walked towards Ryan and Ruth. The four stepped forward in front of Sabrina.
"Sabrina, now that all of us are here, no one will dare t o bully you," said Yvonne smugly.
The old Master Shaw sighed at the remarks and sneered. "I suppose I have nothing to hide given the circumstances." He paused for a moment to look Sabrina directly in the eyes and questioned sharply," Sabrina, answer me, what exactly are you plotting to accomplish?"
