In the end, she had fallen in love with him, and he had broken her into pieces. She became a single mother and was constantly running from danger throughout the six years, until he had found her. She had lost the courage to love. She sealed her heart away and thought that she would never love another again. She couldn't bear the possibility of getting hurt again. Still, she fell in love with the same man all over again, to the point that there was no denying.
"I do!" Sabrina said decisively. Sebastian stared at her.
"If you love him, why would you sell the extremely valuable bracelet that his mother gave you?" Old Master Henry challenged.
The bracelet Grace owned originated from the Ford Family as well. They had felt that they failed her and gave her the emerald bracelet. Grace must have genuinely considered Sabrina as her daughter-in-law t o have given her something so precious. And did Sabrina treasure the bracelet as it should have been? I f she truly loved Sebastian, why wasn't she wearing the bracelet she had received from her mother-in-law?
"Bracelet?" Sabrina snapped, "that's a gift from my mother-in-law, so it is mine. I don't think you have the right to question me about this."
"My daughter-in-law's gift to you, I can turn a blind eye on. But what about the Ford Family's heirloom?
What did you do with it?" Old Master Henry roared.
Sabrina was silent.
"Answer me!" Another deafening roar.
Sabrina chewed on her lower lip stubbornly. She didn't want to tell them about it unless she was left with no choice.
"You can't explain, can you?" Sean spoke out. "Those Chrismatite bracelets cost far more than a few million dollars. I'm guessing that you have been planning it ever since you got your hands on those bracelets, isn't that right? You plan on draining every last bit of benefit you could from my son and when he could no longer satisfy your materialistic needs, you will at least have those bracelets as your back-up. Sabrina, how dare you stand there and lie? How could you say that you didn't conspire to put Sebastian under your spell for his money? If that really is the case, where has the emerald bracelet his mother gave you gone? What about the Ford Family's heirloom, the Chrismatite bracelets?"
The old Master Shaw joined in as soon as Sean was done with the last word. "Do you really think that we would be here trying to expose you if we didn't have proof? Without proof, would Sebastian allow this confrontation to begin with? Do you really believe that we would let you off easy like Emma Poole did, after all that effort to drag our old bones here? Let me make it easy for you. Don't try to tell us that you have the emerald bracelets that Sebastian's mother gave you together with the Ford Family's heirloom kept away in the bank. We have gone through every single record of your account and there was no sign of you ever doing s o! Answer us! Where and who have you sold them to?" 1
Tears were trailing down Sabrina's cheeks at this point. She looked over at old Master Henry, Sean and old Master Shaw with a lump in her throat. "There's one place you probably missed," she said with a hoarse voice.
"Where?" The old Master Shaw snapped.
"The graveyard, at the grave of my mother-in-law, Grace Summer. Have you looked there?"
Instantly, the air seemed to have frozen as everyone tried to comprehend what she had just said.
Sebastian's eyes widened in disbelief and lowered his gaze to stare at Sabrina. "Those bracelets..."
