After a few moments of silence, she finally found her voice and said, "You...there's no need for that. You aren't young anymore, you should take care of yourself."
She caved in to her own soft-hearted nature. She was never a forceful or arrogant person to begin with, not t o mention when dealing with Sebastian's family.
Sabrina gazed up at Sebastian and he immediately got the message. "Grandpa, take a seat first. It's straining for you to be standing for so long."
Henry obediently returned to his seat. His wife almost immediately started jabbing him with her crouches, but he did not attempt to resist, knowing that he deserved it. When she was finally done with punishing her husband, the old Madam Ford called the still furious Aino over and said, "Aino, come here t o your great-grandmother. Let me tell you, I would never bully your mommy. Quite the opposite, actually, because your great-grandmother is the one who loves your mommy most. See? I've helped punish your greatgrandfather."
Aino turned to look at Sabrina for permission. It wasn't until Sabrina nodded when Aino hopped her way towards the old Madam Ford and leaped into her arms.
"Great-grandma, do you want to try some of my
candies?"
The elderly took one look at the candy Aino was holding in her hands and grinned from ear to ear." Baby, this isn't candy, it's medicine. You can't take medicine when you are not sick."
Aino shook her head in disapproval. "Great-grandma, you really are old."
"Oh?"
"This is a candy that looks like a pill, it's not really medicine," said Aino.
"I see..." The old Madam Ford took the capsule to inspect it closely. "But it’s no good for my teeth to eat something like this."
"Great-grandma, it's just the outside that is hard. The inside is soft, just try it and you will know." Aino smiled cheerfully at her. 1
The old Madam Ford was convinced. She put the candy into her mouth and bit down on it. "Oh...! My teeth...!" The candy was not hard on the outside and soft on the inside, but was as hard as rock inside out. This little thing went through such length to trick even her great-grandmother!
"Pfft! Hahaha! Great-grandma, you fell for it! Yayy, my great-grandma fell for it!" Aino clapped her hands excitedly.
Henry and the deceived old Madam Ford were both amused. "You playful little thing, how mean!" she
teased.
Aino giggled mischievously in response. Sabrina felt the tension earlier had eased. She couldn't be happier that Aino had found her place in the family. She wasn't the only one affected by the scene before her. Even Sean, his wife and the Lynn Family felt drawn to the heartwarming atmosphere. Both Selene's and Jade's faces felt as though their pride had been dragged across ground and shattered in pieces, but Lincoln seemed to have lost track of the situation when he saw the adorable little girl sitting on the old Madam Ford's laps. The young child possessed a natural gift of making everyone around her, even the elderly feel as though they had become younger for the moment. Aino, the one and only princess of the Ford Family, was the source of joy for her family.
Dazed, Lincoln watched the interaction longingly when Sabrina spoke out of the blue. "Mr. Lynn, you sure seem rather relaxed, don't you?"
