Ever since she ran into the dirty and disheveled woman, all Sabrina wanted was to return home as soon as possible to take a look at her mother's grave.
In fact, she was desperate to do so.
If only she could fly home right now.
Sebastian's lips gently pecked her forehead. "Apply for a leave tomorrow, I'll book the flight tickets."
"Thanks, dear." Sabrina slowly curled up in Sebastian's arms and fell asleep, feeling safe and sound.
Monday came.
Even though her weekend had been quite eventful, Sabrina had still managed to find the time to draft some designs. As per Sebastian's instructions, she went to see the director in the morning with the drafts in her hand to apply for leave, i
She planned to apply for a week's break, so as to not miss out on too much work.
However, the minute she walked into the building with her briefcase in hand, Sabrina ran into a few of her male colleagues.
One of them, William Kiel, seemed very excited to see her. "Sabrina! You'll have to give us snacks as compensation for not inviting us to your wedding!"
Standing beside him, Andrew Schamber immediately piled on. "I want the best chocolates you have.
Sabrina, can you get me an extra box? I've just gotten into a relationship with my new girlfriend, so having some chocolates in hand will definitely earn me some points."
The Sabrina from a few months ago would have instantly blushed upon hearing such questions.
However, now that her publicly announced relationship with Sebastian was growing more intimate by the day, she began to get used to her colleagues teasing her as well.
With a bright smile on her face, Sabrina agreed to their requests. "Later, during our lunch break, I'll make sure to buy chocolates for the two of you. Two boxes each, but there’s a condition."
Her colleagues grew even more excited. "What’s the condition, tell us."
"I’m heading back to my hometown this week, so I might need your help in covering for me sometimes. D o you think you guys can do that?" Sabrina looked quite sheepish when she asked for help like this, since she was usually a responsible and independent worker that always finished her assigned tasks by herself. On top of that, she didn't want to trouble others unnecessarily if she didn't need to.
To her surprise, Sabrina's two male colleagues patted their chests confidently and assured her, "Don’t worry, just focus on enjoying your trip. When you get back, you'll find that everything is in perfect order.”
