The man did not reply before getting up and leaving.
Grace smiled. "That brat has always been a man of few words, Sabbie. Since the two of you are in a shotgun marriage, your feelings for each other may not have a firm foundation yet, but I think you'll slowly come to realize his good points.”
"I know, mother. I’ll go with Sebastian to buy some clothes now," Sabrina said, returning a sweet smile.
"Go ahead."
Sabrina trailed outside. The moment she had walked out the door, she heard Grace shouting from behind," Sebastian, I know you're standing outside. Come in, I have something to say to you."
Sebastian had indeed been standing outside. Hearing his mother call for him, he ordered Kingston, "Bring her over to the car first. I'll head on over after this."
"Yes, Young Master Sebastian.”
Sebastian turned around, entering the ward.
"Mother..."
"Stupid child!” Grace reached over to hit her son as she rebuked him. “You've been married to Sabbie for over a month. I can tell that you've been cold to her. I know that there are still no feelings between the two o f you, so I've never blamed you.
"Luckily for you, Sabbie is a good daughter-in-law.
She's never complained about the way you treat her to me. I've also noticed that all the clothes she wears are cheap, but I couldn't say anything about it. You've finally done something good today. Go get some beautiful clothes for her. After all, she is the mistress o f the Ford family!" 3
"I know."
"Hurry! Don’t leave her waiting outside for too long."
"Fine." Sebastian left his mother’s ward.
All the while, Sabrina had been waiting for Sebastian with Kingston in the car. Watching as Sebastian began walking over from afar, Sabrina summoned up her courage and started, "Kingston..."
"You... called for me?"
The girl had never talked to him by her own volition before. Her sudden calling for him shocked Kingston.
Sabrina bit her lips before asking, "I... I don't know... Why is he treating me this way?" 1
Kingston smiled. "Should the Young Master not treat his mistress well?"
