The little girl's palm print stood out on Selene’s cheek.
Selene gasped. "You..."
Aino was laughing so hard, her head bobbed up and down. "Hehe, Selene, you should thank me, you're prettier now. You were so skinny your face was nothing but bones, and together with the white bandages on your head, you look really, really ugly. But now that I gave you a slap, you're not so ugly anymore, so you feel grateful to me, right?"
Selene trembled. "I...Aino Scott, I’ll hit you until you..."
Before she could finish her sentence, Sabrina had pulled Aino into her arms. Selene raised her hand in mid-air but did not dare slap the little girl's cheek.
Though she knew Sebastian would not dare to harm her because of her grandfather, still she did not dare return the little girl's slap.
But Old Master Shaw was angry. He looked at Sebastian, and scolded sternly. "Sebastian! You know full well how tough it was growing up. Aino is your daughter. If you want to groom her into a talent, you have to be strict with her from a young age! With such a vicious mother, are you trying to destroy her future?"
He was saying all that for Sebastian's own good.
Sebastian was speechless. For the first time in his life, he was stuck in a hard place. He wished he could kill
Selene right this minute. But the old man's words did indeed shock him. Whether it was for the sake of the Ford family or the Summer family, Sebastian had no choice but to honor and respect the old man.
Nonetheless, he would never allow Sabrina to suffer any humiliation.
"Grandpa Shaw, I respect you. You’re a just man, I..."
Sabrina interrupted him in the middle of his sentence. She squeezed his hand, then took the initiative to say something. "Old Master Shaw, there’s something that I have been hiding all along. I didn’t want to tell you, in fact, I planned on hiding it for the rest of my life, but since what happened today involved my husband, and you practically saved my husband's life, so I am also indebted to you, that’s why I respect you. In that case, then I have to tell you something.”
At that moment, her expression showed her utter determination. She did want to let anyone know about this, neither did she want to be reacquainted with the old man. No matter how nice he was, he was only nice to everyone else. To her, he was always biased and prejudiced. But for the sake of her husband, she was willing to sacrifice her feelings of disgust for the old man. She did not want to make the situation difficult for him.
"Whatever it is you have to say, I'll give you a chance t o say it!” Old Master Shaw said ruthlessly.
Before Sabrina opened her mouth, Lincoln, Jade and Selene started to feel nervous. The three of them
turned to look at Sabrina.
Lincoln immediately scolded, "You ungrateful woman, bastard! What evil plan have you cooked up now!"
Sabrina glanced at Lincoln and laughed coldly. Then, she looked at Old Master Shaw and said, "Old Master Shaw, Selene is not your real granddaughter. I am your real granddaughter!"
