Substitute Bride and Her Husband Who Disappeared novel Chapter 114

"Don't kid yourself," Luna mused. "Director Grant wouldn't wait for seven days for his leading lady, let alone a supporting actress like you."

Vivian knew she was in no state to face the public. With a reluctant nod, she agreed to Luna's suggestion.

Luna's smile spread across her face as Vivian conceded. "Vivi, don't worry," she reassured. "I'll keep a close eye on Nancy. I won't let her steal what's rightfully yours."

With that, Luna picked up her bag and headed for the door. Vivian quickly stopped her, "Luna, where are you going?"

Without looking back, Luna replied, "To find Nancy, of course. What if Charlie comes looking for you?"

Vivian was taken aback. She had been so preoccupied with the filming that she had forgotten about Charlie.

Luna had thoughtfully taken care of this for her.

With that in mind, Vivian decided to stay in Luna's room, not daring to return to her own.

Meanwhile, Nancy and Charlie rode in silence back to the hotel.

Upon entering the elevator, Nancy instinctively pressed the button for her floor.

Charlie made no move to press a button of his own, seemingly uninterested in choosing a floor.

Nancy frowned at him, "What floor are you staying on?"

Charlie, with a playful smirk, didn't answer. Nancy dismissed him with a huff, and they rode up in silence.
