Theodore was thrilled to see his limp leg move.
"It's a miracle that such things can happen. This... This..." Theodore was so excited that he spoke incoherently for a moment.
Michael approached Theodore and chuckled. "Well? I told you Dr. Lennon could do it. Yet you didn't believe me. Would you believe me if I hadn't dragged you here?"
Theodore was grinning from ear to ear, looking at Sean with gratitude.
"He's a modern miracle doctor reborn. He's really a modern miracle doctor! I can't believe I can walk without a crutch again. This is..."
Theodore could not say the rest. He choked as he uncontrollably wiped his tears.
Sean said, "Sir, this is only the first needle treatment. I expect you to attend seven more sessions. You have to accept treatment once every three days. Give me your address. I'll come to you."
"Well..." Theodore looked flattered when he heard this.
"Oh, that's inappropriate. I should come to you instead. I'll be ashamed to have you come over."
Theodore took Sean's hand like an elderly doting on a child.
"It was rude of me to say such things to you before. You really deserve the title "Miracle Doctor". Don't call me "Sir" anymore. Just call me Ol' Davis."
The three attendants behind Theodore looked at each other.
They showed nothing on the surface, but their hearts were in turmoil.
Theodore was stubborn, and few people called him Ol' Davis except his close friend, Michael.
That name alone showed how much Theodore valued Sean.
"Well, Dr. Lennon." Theodore moved his leg again. "Can I try walking a few steps today?"
