Super CEO Daddy And His Baby Triplets novel Chapter 50

Chapter 50 Jocelyn Got What She Wanted

"You don't need to get the thermometer! Why don't you take Jocelyn back to her room? I can't imagine how uncomfortable Jocelyn feels in Jeffrey's tiny bed."

Beatrice appeared worried. "Calvin, how come you don't know how to take care of a girl at all?" she wondered.

Calvin had no choice but to carry Jocelyn back to his bedroom and place her on the bed. He began taking her temperature after finding a thermometer.

Upon learning that Calvin would stay in the room with Jocelyn, Beatrice left with Tammy and Jeffrey. "Calvin, please take good care of Jocelyn. I'm going to give the kids a bath."

"Got it."

Calvin realized that Jocelyn's plan had worked. She'd gotten what she desired.

Just before she left, Tammy told Calvin, "Please, Daddy, take good care of Mommy. Don't you go away! I'll be back in a bit to see how you're doing."

On the other hand, Jeffrey appeared to be doubtful. The way Calvin used the thermometer wrong gave Jeffrey the impression that he was completely unqualified to take care of anyone.

Jeffrey even wanted to invite Todd, which he thought was his biological father, over.

Calvin sighed heavily after they left.

He stared at the woman on the bed. When he saw how much she hurt, he felt conflicted.

He rarely cared about anyone else because he was always the center of everybody's attention.

Beatrice raised his son, Sean, for him. He was responsible for looking after Jocelyn but had no idea how to go about it.

He reached for the thermometer after some time had passed. She was running a temperature of 39.6 degrees, he discovered.

Her fever was quite severe.

Calvin called Shamar again.

While on his way, Shamar instructed Calvin to cool Jocelyn's forehead first. "Put an ice pack on her forehead first if you have one."

After hanging up the phone, Calvin got an ice pack and placed it on Jocelyn's head.

Jocelyn was disoriented due to her high fever, so she kept mumbling, "Don't go..."

Calvin noticed her lips moving but had no idea what she was saying. He moved closer to her so he could hear her words clearly.

"Don't leave me, Mom!"

When he heard her screaming, "Mom," he knew she had a dream about her mom.

She cried out, "Mom, don't go," and her face clearly showed pain. On the day her mother passed away, Calvin suddenly recalled, she sat alone on the balcony, looking lonely and sad.

In her dream, Jocelyn saw Helena was leaving. She desperately wanted to hold on to her, so she kept scratching at thin air.

Calvin had no idea why he reached out to grab her hand.

In her dream, Jocelyn grabbed her mom's hand. Her head held high, and she begged her mother repeatedly to stay.

"Don't leave me, mommy! Don't leave me alone!"

Calvin saw that she was upset. There was moisture on her eyelashes, and a tear trickled out of one of her eyes.

Calvin's emotions were all over the place after he saw Jocelyn cry. Even though she was usually unbreakable, he couldn't help but sigh at her frailty.

Jocelyn dreamed that she was clinging desperately to her mother's hand.

She remembered some happy memories of her childhood.

As a kid, she always dressed like a princess and ran around the garden in her pretty dresses. Her mother would sit nearby and knit sweaters to keep her company.

Other memories she thought about brought back the pain.

Helena's smile faded as she fought with Jocelyn's father more and more.
