Super CEO Daddy And His Baby Triplets novel Chapter 51

Chapter 51 You Should Care Less About It

Jocelyn couldn't figure out what was going on. She chose to leave, though, in case she pissed him off and got kicked out of the house.

Then, all of a sudden, she remembered that she and Todd had made plans yesterday to meet this morning. She checked the quartz clock on the wall, which showed it was already 2:00 p.m.

"Oh my goodness! I slept for so long! Now that I stood him up again, he must think I'm making excuses!" Jocelyn thought to herself.

Jocelyn decided to get up and meet Todd because she was feeling better.

Calvin looked up when he heard her move. He asked, "Where are you going?" when he saw that she was getting out of bed.

Jocelyn cast a glance toward the door. Because she was afraid to admit she was planning to meet another man, she made an excuse and said, "I'm going to the bathroom."

Calvin asked suspiciously, "Can you do that by yourself?"

"How come I can't do it on my own? Why do I need someone to help me pee?" Jocelyn said as she walked toward the door.

She no longer had a fever but was still feeling under the weather. She was so frail that she had to cling to the walls for support as she walked.

She'd only taken a few steps when she felt like she was floating. Calvin carried her to the bathroom and set her down on the toilet before she had a chance to react.

Jocelyn didn't regain consciousness until he left the bathroom.

She realized he treated her like a frail patient.

She was unable to decipher his thoughts. Having been ignoring her and acting like he didn't see her the whole morning, he was suddenly pleasant to be around.

His erratic behavior puzzled her.

Jocelyn washed her face after using the restroom and then applied light makeup to make herself look refreshed. She then prepared to leave the house after she got dressed.

As soon as she stepped out of the bathroom, she was surprised to see Calvin waiting outside.

After seeing how well she was dressed, he asked, "Where are you going now?"

"I have to go out," Jocelyn said as she felt obligated to inform him of her schedule.

"What are you going to do?" Calvin asked while sizing her up.

Even though her fever was nearly gone, he worried she was still too weak to go out.

"I've already wasted the morning taking care of you. But why do you want to go out as soon as you feel a little better?" he thought to himself.

"I have to go see a friend," Jocelyn replied.

"Is your friend a dude or a woman?"

His detailed question caught Jocelyn off guard.

Jocelyn was worried because they had agreed not to meddle too much in each other's lives.

"A guy."

Jocelyn knew Calvin would be upset if she revealed she was meeting Todd, so she didn't have the guts to tell him.

Calvin frowned and turned to face her when she said she was going out to meet a man.

She looked lovely in her beige gown and bare makeup. She was as delicate as a Victorian lady, and he had an overwhelming need to be by her side and protect her.

He hadn't expected her to get all dressed up for a date with a man.

He thought to himself, "Have you forgotten what your last name is now?"

Calvin was jealous, but he pretended it didn't bother him. He said thoughtfully, "Your fever has gone down, but you're not over your cold yet. You should stay at home and have some rest."

"I'm all right now. I'm completely recovered."
