He took a two-minute breather, let out a gentle sigh, and then headed up the stairs expressionless.
Mia was surprised to see him back, "Weren't you out on a date? How come you're back so soon?"
Andre shot her a glance and then made his way to the cloakroom.
In the yard, Naomi had just returned and immediately spotted Jillian crying on the balcony. She instructed her servants to bring her things to her room, then went to Jillian's side. "Jillian, what's wrong?"
Jillian saw Naomi and quickly wiped her tears, "You're back."
"Jillian, why are you crying?" Naomi looked around and noticed two cups on the table, she asked, "Did someone bully you?"
Jillian didn't have the courage to tell Naomi what Andre had just said to her.
She shook her head, "Don't bring it up."
"Was it Mia?" Naomi's tone indicated she had already concluded that Mia was to blame, "Just wait, I won't let you be bullied."
Naomi quickly rose to confront Mia, but Jillian stopped her, "Don't go."
"Oh right, I forgot, today is her and Andre's day to visit her family. She won’t be at home." If Mia wasn't home, how could she possibly bully Jillian? Naomi felt a bit rash, always blaming Mia when things went wrong.
