Chad looked at his sister and said, "She didn't mean to hurt anyone. It was just a reflex out of fright. She accidentally hit a staff member and didn't commit a crime. The person in charge will be here soon, let's hear what he has to say. Hopefully, we can settle this privately."
Mia asked, "But what if they don't want to settle it privately or if their demands are too much?"
Andre replied, "Then I'll just buy the place."
Mia turned to her husband, tears glistening in her eyes. Andre wouldn't let his wife get arrested. He could scare her with words, but when things got real, he would protect her. He wouldn't let anyone take his wife away.
Soon, the manager came over and was stunned to see Andre. He said, "Andre."
Andre nodded.
The manager looked at Mia, who was in Andre's arms, "And this is?"
"My wife." Andre replied.
The manager was speechless.
After finding out Andre's identity, the manager didn’t call the police. Instead, he showed them the video footage.
The scene in the video made Chad shiver. These three actually went to a haunted house in the morning. Seeing all the ghosts and bloody hands, he believed that if he were there, he would have fought back instinctively.
Most people went to haunted houses when it was crowded in the afternoon. But these three dared to go in alone.
In the video, one person was crying his name, another was crying for her husband. He believed that Andre, watching this, would feel the same, feeling heartbroken and wishing they could protect their loved ones on the scene.
Upon seeing the video, hearing his wife crying his name, Andre's anger immediately vanished, replaced by aching concern.
He couldn't bear to watch anymore and asked the manager directly, "What do you guys suggest to solve this? I'd like to hear your thoughts."
Mia sat next to her husband, looking downcast, like a child who had done something wrong. Andre held her cold small hand, comforting her in this way.
Upon hearing the compensation they demanded, Andre promptly gave them the money and the issue was settled privately.
Leaving the meeting room, Andre gently told them, "Don't go to haunted houses anymore, okay?"
They all nodded, knowing they were wrong.
Chad helped Molly straighten her clothes, gently wiping away her tears, asking, "Do you want to leave with me or them?"
Molly took a step towards Chad, "I want to leave with you."
In the end, Andre took his wife, and Leo drove himself home.
On the road, Mia was guiltily touching her hand. Andre glanced at her, thinking about what she had done. He wanted to laugh, but he didn’t dare.
Finally, he turned his head, driving with one hand, his left elbow resting on the window and a finger hiding the smile on his lips.
"Honey, if you want to laugh, just let it out. Don't hold it back. I can hear your laughter." Mia said.
Andre thought it was better to respect his wife, who was obviously scared now.
Mia pursed her lips, feeling that she was too cowardly. She thought she would be brave in the haunted house, but she lost her reason as soon as she entered. She had just argued with her husband the night before, and today she was calling him for help.
