Sweet Mischief's Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 325

Mr. Ashford and Coleen were having a chit-chat not far away. "Molly seems to have a good impression of Jack. Looks like we might become one big family in the future, huh?"

Coleen caught his drift, and she replied, "My girl is young and easily excited by anything fun. But about the future, we'll have to see what her dad says."

Jack, holding a glass of wine, offered it to Molly, "Molly, we've been talking for a while. How about a fruit wine to refreshen up?"

"I don't drink, thanks." Molly turned him down.

Jack was even more smitten with Molly, "You don't drink?"

Memories of drinking at dinners with friends flashed through Molly's mind. She fibbed again, "No, I don't."

Hearing this, Jack didn't press Molly to drink anymore and offered to get her a non-alcohol drink instead.

Molly remembered her nephew's advice of pouring her own drinks at events and not accepting ones given by others. Her friends also warned her that colored drinks might not be safe.

Truth was that she had once asked her father in secret about Mia getting hammered at Harry's birthday party and making a fool of herself, which gave everyone a good laugh.

"No, I'm not thirsty." She said.

Jack thought she was being wary of him, "Molly, you should trust me."

"Sorry, I only trust my brother and my dad."

She only trusted the fathers and brothers of the Cedillo and Byrne families, and was on guard with everyone else.

Soon Coleen came over to call her daughter. After all, a new girl chatting with a grown man for so long would surely raise eyebrows.

Molly stood up and told Jack, "I'm gonna find my mom now. Thanks for your company."

Molly quickly walked over to Coleen, saying, "Mom, I'm parched, my throat's all dry."

"You silly girl, you're slow but quick to react. You're smart but you're thirsty and don't think to drink."

Coleen handed her a drink, "It's coke. The drinks are all labeled. Get whatever you want."

Molly downed the coke in one gulp.

Coleen said, "Mind your manners."

She finished her drink in one gulp, and her cheeks puffed out. No one else did that. She looked cute, but also a bit goofy.

"What were you and Jack talking about?" Coleen casually asked.

After finishing the coke, Molly said, "Nothing much, just introductions and some talk about my brother."

Coleen straightened her daughter's clothes, asking, "What's your impression of Jack?"

"He's okay, mom, what's up?"

Coleen didn't directly answer as she wasn't sure about the other party's intentions, "I was just curious. You can go play with other friends later."

Looking around, Molly saw everyone had formed their own little groups and she wasn't sure which to join. If Mia and Leo were here, they could just play cards by themselves.

"Alright, I'll go say hi to my friends, mom."

Coleen also mingled with her social circle.

People were buzzing about Cedillo Inc. and potential investment trends, guessing Andre's next move. Coleen just smiled without joining in the discussion.

"Coleen, this is your first time bringing your child to a party, are you planning to have your daughter take over Chade Inc.?"

Coleen said with a smile, "My son is already a cop, so it's all up to my daughter. Who else could I give it to?"

"Your daughter will surely be as successful as you."
