Coleen told her husband about Mr. Ashford's intentions during the day. Mr. Kendrick retorted, "He's too full of himself, thinking his son is some sort of catch. He should look at whether he matches up to Molly. I need to have a word with Molly when she comes down, tell her to keep her distance from that doctor."

Coleen continued, "If we were to pick from kids in our circle, Jack isn't too shabby. He doesn't have the typical rich kid syndrome, but is dedicated to his studies. He entered the company to learn after returning home, and although his personality isn't particularly charming, he's much better than some other rich kids. Plus, he's got quite an education, but his looks are just average. All things considered, he isn't as handsome as our son."

Mr. Kendrick laughed, "So you've started prioritizing looks now."

Coleen argued, "When did I ever prioritize looks?"

Mr. Kendrick continued to advise his wife, "Do you think Molly would choose her partner based on looks or education? We should find someone suitable. According to your description, I get the impression that Jack is a bit dull. Honey, just use Chad as a benchmark when Molly is looking for a partner. If someone can surpass Chad, then we'll let Molly marry him. If not, I can support her with my pension after I retire."

Coleen laughed, "You're just trying to stir things up. In my eyes, no one can compare with my son and daughter."

The two chatted in the living room for a while, just as Molly, fresh from a shower and in her pajamas, hurried downstairs and said, "Mom, Dad, who are you comparing me and my brother to?"

The two looked at each other and didn't tell Molly about their conversation.

In the evening, Chad came home. As he entered the living room and was changing shoes, he noticed his sister was missing. He called out loudly, "Molly, come see what tasty treats I've brought you."

Mr. Kendrick said with annoyance, "She's upstairs on the phone with friends. Chad, come here, I have something to tell you."

Chad placed the food he had bought in the dining room, washed his hands and sat next to his father, "What's up?"

"Go to the office tomorrow and check if the Ashford family is clean." Mr. Kendrick said.

Chad was a bit confused. Wasn't the event he attended today the opening ceremony of Ashford Inc., owned by that family?

He poured water for himself and his father, "Did anything happen with Ashford Inc.?"

Mr. Kendrick got even more upset, "Mr. Ashford's son probably has his eye on Molly."

Upon hearing this, Chad paused, and looked up at his father. Mr. Kendrick said, "Check out that Jack while you're at it."

Chad put down his glass, and he casually asked, "Is Jack interested in Molly?"

Just then, Molly, who had finished her phone call upstairs, ran out of her room. She shouted, "Chad, you're back. What tasty treats did you bring me?"

Chad heard her voice and a smile immediately appeared on his face, "It's in the dining room. Go and see for yourself."

Molly ran straight to the dining room, and when she saw the delicious beef skewers, she shouted with joy, "I love you forever."

Chad had an indulgent smile on his face. He watched his sister's back and whispered to his father, "I'll look into them. Dad, in the future, anyone who wants to pursue Molly has to go through me first."

Molly brought the food over to the sofa and sat next to Chad, leaning her shoulder against his. She shared her food with Chad, and he asked, "Molly, share with me some interesting things that happened today."

Chad wanted to know who else was interested in Molly.

As Molly ate, she told Chad about her day, "Except for not being able to eat enough and not daring to drink beverages randomly, everything else was great. I made some new friends today." Molly showed her phone to Chad, "This is Miss Thornton from the Thornton family."

Chad told her to continue eating and took Molly's phone to check.

He was the top contact on her WhatsApp. Chad was quite satisfied with this.

Seeing that she wasn't chatting with other guys on WhatsApp, Chad closed the phone and handed it back to her, "What were you doing inside the house just now?"
