Andre shut his eyes, ignoring her.
"Are you asleep?"
There was a hint of happiness in Mia's voice.
Looking at the "deeply asleep" Andre, she laughed and said, "My mom once said, a drunk man is like a dead pig, and you can’t wake him up."
She chuckled, "Oh man, you didn't expect to end up in my clutches, did you?"
Mia reached out and pinched Andre's cheek. She kneaded Andre's face as if it were Play-Doh. Her joy grew as she played.
"You bullied me before, now it's my turn to get back at you. It's never too late." She became even bolder once she was sure Andre wouldn't wake up.
Mia moved closer to him for a better grip. She planned to tease Andre some more.
She pinched his nose, cutting off his breath. After a few seconds, she quickly let go. The man in the bed clenched his fist tightly, unnoticed by Mia.
If it wasn't for the embarrassment of the kiss just now, he'd have pretended to be asleep. Otherwise, he would have crushed her by now!
Mia taunted, "You're so tough, why don't you get up and fight back?"
After having her fill of teasing her husband's face, Mia propped her chin on her hand and began to admire his face. "Actually, now that I look closely at your face, you're quite handsome."
She couldn't help but poke Andre's cheek again, "But while you are handsome, I don't love you."
Her words alerted the pretending-to-sleep Andre. He needed to find out why this girl married him as soon as possible.
Mia mumbled to herself, "Andre, don't get too cocky. One day I'll be stronger than you, I'll be even tougher."
The man pretending to sleep chuckled coldly. Her, stronger than him? No matter what she did, she could never surpass him.
