Sweet Mischief's Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 5

His ears twitched slightly, then he nodded and looked up at the priest. The priest, catching Andre's gaze, immediately asked with a grin, "Bride, do you take this man... till death do you part?"

"I do!" Mia answered loudly this time, pecking out the words like a chicken pecking at grain.

The moment she spoke, the tension in the Hansen and the Irvins finally eased.

The priest then asked the groom, "Groom, do you take this woman... till death do you part?"

"I do." His words sounded firm and solid to Mia's ears.

She couldn't help but look up at the man beside her. Regardless of whether this marriage was a transaction or not, this man was her husband from now on!

"...please exchange rings."

The crowd broke into enthusiastic applause.

Hearing the applause, Mia tried to ease the awkwardness by asking Andre, "Do people usually clap when exchanging rings?"

Andre ignored her, rudely grabbing her hand and forcing the ring onto her ring finger. Mia's impression of him soured instantly. What a brute!

When it was Mia's turn to put the ring on him, she deliberately forced it onto his left ring finger. The pain made Andre glance at his vengeful bride. She was really petty, he thought.

Mia wanted to say something else to Andre, but their eyes met again. His gaze was unreadable, staring straight at her, and Mia's heart started to race. She mistakenly thought that Andre, this sensitive man, felt aggrieved because she had put the ring on him too forcefully earlier.

So, he was a man who held grudges too!
